King prawns with curry and rice
Yet another simple recipe! What we need follows:
- olive oi
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 medium clove of garlic very finely chopped
- 450gr king prawns
- 1/2 glass of white,table wine
- curry, 1 large bay leaf, parsley
- 200gr rice
- salt, pepper
Step 1: Cook the prawns
- Heat the oil in a medium frying pan over a medium heat. Stir-fry the onion and the garlic.
- Rinse with fresh water the prawns, drain them and add them to the frying pan.
- After stir-frying for a couple of minutes, add the wine. Wait until the wine evaporates while occasionally stirring.
- Add the bay lead, parsley and curry.
- Stir for a couple of minutes and take off from heat.
Step 2: Cook the rice and serve!
- Meanwhile, cook the rice. Remember that before adding the rice to the boiling water it must be thoroughly rinsed.
- There are two ways of serving:
- the first one is shown on the picture, simply add the prawns on top of the rice.
- mix the prawns with the rice in a large container, and use the container to serve.
As with (almost) any fish, enjoy with a glass of white dry wine!
